Virtue (Sanhe) Technology Co., Ltd. — Casket Hardware Manufacturer

Casket Hardware Manufacturing Process

The company's account of its process

The company profile describes a six-step sequence for its production: raw material, die casting, hand polishing, plating, assembly and load testing. That sequence is the company's own account, and this site presents it as such, not as an independently audited process description. The factory section of the company's own profile states that the photographs of that sequence were taken at its own Wenzhou production line.

Die casting is the process for most metal products. Molten Zamak #3 is cast into a mould, producing a detailed shape that is then hand polished to prepare it for plating. Hand polishing matters because plating shows every flaw in the surface beneath it; a casting that is not polished will not plate cleanly, whatever the plating colour.

Plating deposits a metal layer in gold, nickel, antique brass, antique copper or chrome. Antique finishes are treated so that they read as aged rather than bright. The plating step is where the finish is created, and it is also where finish consistency between runs is determined, which is why repeat orders need a finish confirmation against a physical sample.

Plastic processes

Plastic products are injection moulded in ABS or PP, then vacuum metallised and coloured. Injection moulding produces a detailed plastic shape quickly and consistently, and vacuum metallising deposits a thin metallic layer that gives the metallic appearance. The colour is in that layer, in gold, silver, copper or bronze, with antique finishes on some ABS.

The company also states that it has its own mould workshop and can develop a dedicated mould for a customer, with the mould belonging to that customer's account. Mould development is described on the custom mould page, and no mould fee or development period is published, so both must be confirmed at enquiry stage.

Assembly brings castings, bars, fittings and decorations together into handles, sets and complete hardware. Assembly is where a set's consistency is created: handles, corners, ornaments and fittings for one casket are assembled in one finish, so that the finished casket reads as one set rather than as separate parts.

Testing and what is not claimed

Load testing is the final step in the company's sequence for load-bearing models. Results are recorded by reference number on the company's test bench, and a record can accompany an order if requested before order confirmation. The load-testing guide gives the category bands and explains why a model rating, not a band, governs for any single model.

This site does not claim any process certification, because none is published. Certificates are available upon request, but no certificate name, number or issuing body is published, and no process on this site is described as certified. A buyer who needs a process certification for a market should ask for the certificate list before ordering.

The process described here is the company's account of its own work at its Wenzhou factory. The office in Sanhe is not described as a production site on any page, and no process step is attributed to Sanhe, because production is at Wenzhou and the Sanhe address is the office.
