Casket Corners and Swing Bars
Two hardware families, one category
Casket corners and swing bars account for 40 catalogue items, in two families: casket corners with 24 items, and swing bars with 16 items. Corners protect and finish the corners of a casket; swing bars are the bars that carry a casket, mounted through fittings that allow the bar to swing. The two families are grouped because they are ordered together for a complete casket, but they serve different functions and must not be confused.
Corners are cast or formed fittings, finished to match the handles on the same casket in gold, nickel, antique brass, antique copper or chrome, or in metallised plastic colours where the casket uses plastic decoration. Swing bars use long steel bars, commonly 19 to 25 millimetre steel tube or round bar, mounted through cast fittings.
The swing-bar family page describes the bar and its fittings, and the corner family page describes corner styles. This page is the category overview, and a buyer who needs only one family should go directly to that family page.
Load ratings
Swing-bar hardware is load-bearing, and the company's category band for heavy cast handles and swing-bar hardware is 200 to 300 kilograms per piece. That band describes the family, not a single swing bar, and the model page governs for any single bar and fitting set. A buyer specifying a swing bar must confirm the model rating, the bar length and the finish together, because a bar that fits the casket but is rated below the loaded weight is not a safe specification.
Corners are fittings, not carrying bars, and their specifications are model-specific. Where a corner forms part of a load path, its model page should be checked; where it is a finishing fitting, finish and size are the relevant facts. This site does not assign a swing-bar rating to a corner, or a corner rating to a swing bar.
For load-bearing swing bars, ask for the load-test record before order confirmation. The company states that load-bearing models are tested on its own test bench and that results are recorded by reference number, with a record available with the order if requested before confirmation.
Ordering
The minimum order quantity varies by product and is shown on each product page. Lead time is typically 30 days after order confirmation, with some models at 35 to 45 days. Payment is by telegraphic transfer or letter of credit, and shipments leave Wenzhou by full or less than container load.
For repeat orders, confirm the finish and, for swing bars, the stated load rating again. The company profile identifies consistency of colour and rating across repeat orders as a buyer concern. Certificates are available upon request, with no certificate name, number or issuing body published. Samples are available for most products before a bulk order.
Before payment, confirm the model number, material, finish, quantity, lead time and any load-test record for your order with the sales team.
